Recorded live (minus harmony vocal overdub) to a 1970's Akai 4-track in Montréal, in an empty loft I rented from a friend.
During the recording of this, the landlord came in and told us all to get the hell out. It turned out my friend was months late on the rent! The landlord said "session is OVER."
I looked him in the eye and told him we had to do it, like we didn't have a choice, which we didn't, because it had already taken all of my earthly resources just to get that session together. Well, like a real human bean, he relented. And we finally got some decent takes. It turns out maybe the landlord's visit SUPERCHARGED the session and brought out the heat.
